**Job Title: Production Manager**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing production operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, managing timelines, and collaborating closely with the parts manager to optimize inventory and production planning.
**Responsibilities**
+ Create work schedules for technicians and ensure efficient allocation of labor and resources.
+ Schedule jobs considering labor, parts availability, and lead time to maximize productivity.
+ Improve quality control processes to minimize the number of comebacks.
+ Collaborate with the parts manager to plan production and manage project timelines.
+ Engage in physical work, spending 75% of the time in the shop.
+ Manage inventory with the parts manager to ensure sufficient parts for each job without excessive overhead.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
+ Strong production supervision and management skills.
+ Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques.
+ Proficiency in production scheduling and managing timelines.
+ Experience with Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5 years of experience as a parts manager or in a similar role.
+ Knowledge of cycle counting and inventory management.
+ Experience with managing multiple parts, preferably in trades.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a small shop with 18 employees, with plans to expand by bringing in 2-3 more team members. The environment is collaborative, focusing on continuous improvement and compliance with safety standards.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jessup, Maryland.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $38.00/hr.
