Production & Machine Operator

We are hiring multiple Production and Machine Operator positions for a well-established metal spring manufacturing facility in Mentone, Indiana. These openings support several areas of production.

Production & Machine Operator Details:

Temp-to-Hire position$17.50 /hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

Possible Open Production Areas Include:

Chamfering / Spring End FinishingCNC Spring CoilersWire Forming / Wire BendingMetal Grinders

Placement will be based on experience, skill level, and current production needs.

Job Responsibilities (May Include):

Operating and monitoring industrial machinery used in metal spring manufacturingChamfering and grinding spring ends to meet specificationsSetting up, operating, or assisting with CNC coiling and wire forming machinesLoading and unloading raw material and finished metal partsPerforming repetitive production tasks while maintaining quality standardsConducting basic visual inspections and measurements

Production & Machine Operator Qualifications:

Work Environment:

Heavy industrial metal manufacturing settingExposure to metal dust, oil, grease, noise, and machineryNot climate controlledFast-paced, production-driven environment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, and pull 50–75 lbs repeatedlyStanding, bending, twisting, and reaching for 8–10 hour shiftsRepetitive hand and arm movementsComfortable working around heavy machinery and metal components

Qualifications:

Manufacturing, metal work, or machine operation experience preferredMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnStrong attendance and reliability Ability to read a tape measure, calipers and micrometers. Ability to do basic mathApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
