**3rd shift Crew Lead / Machine Operator Lead in Frederick, MD** **Job Description** We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Crew Lead / Machine Operator Lead to oversee daily operations on the production floor. This role is responsible for leading a team of machine operators, ensuring efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, maintaining product quality, and upholding safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced food and beverage production environment. **Responsibilities** + Lead and coordinate a team of machine operators to meet daily production goals. + Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot high-speed food and beverage manufacturing equipment. + Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and sanitation standards. + Train new operators and provide ongoing coaching to team members. + Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to optimize efficiency. + Perform basic maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs. + Maintain accurate production and downtime records. + Conduct shift handovers and communicate effectively with other departments. + Enforce safety protocols and participate in safety audits and initiatives. **Essential Skills** + Experience in machine operation, production, and manufacturing. + Proficiency in Spanish or bilingual abilities. + Knowledge of GMP and SQF standards. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred. + 3+ years of experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment. + 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. + Familiarity with automated packaging or processing equipment. + Ability to read and interpret production schedules, SOPs, and safety documents. + Excellent communication and team leadership skills. + Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed. + Experience with HACCP, SQF, or other food safety systems. + Forklift certification. + Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where innovation and teamwork are valued.
