**Job Title: Production Support Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Support Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various shop tasks that support the production process and ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. This role requires a versatile individual capable of handling multiple duties, including setup, maintenance, and operation of wire EDM and Polishing machines, piston grinding, and performing honing and filling operations for hydraulic toolholders. **Responsibilities** + Perform setup, maintenance, and operation of wire EDM and polishing machines. + Conduct piston grinding and honing operations for hydraulic toolholders. + Utilize tools such as allen wrenches, cordless drills, and torque wrenches effectively. + Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and features on finished workpieces. + Ensure quality assurance by observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting machine controls as needed. + Operate and handle calipers and all precision-grade gages for in-process and finished inspection. + Verify conformance of finished workpieces by checking specifications, visually inspecting, cross-referencing assembly components, testing function, and signing off on manufacturing papers. + Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, or coworkers to resolve difficulties and concerns. **Essential Skills** + Experience with production, assembly, and hand tool operations. + Ability to understand blueprints, sketches, and drawings. + Knowledge of metric and English measurement systems. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Familiarity with quality assurance processes. + Proficiency in using precision-grade gages and calipers. **Work Environment** This role is based in a climate-controlled facility, ensuring a comfortable working environment.
