We are seeking a reliable and adaptable Production Floater to support our screen printing operations. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Production Floater will rotate between three key areas: Screen Printing, Screen Maintenance & Cleaning, and Cutting, providing support wherever needed most. The shift is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4pm.
**Responsibilities**
+ Screen Printing: Assist in setting up and operating manual and automatic screen printing presses. Align screens and substrates accurately to ensure consistent and high-quality prints. Mix and load inks, monitor ink levels, and perform basic color matching as needed. Conduct quality checks on printed items to identify and correct defects. Maintain a clean and organized printing area to support efficient workflow. Help troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate major concerns to supervisors. Support team members during high-volume production runs or when coverage is needed.
+ Screen Maintenance & Cleaning: Safely lift and transport large, awkward 30 lb screens to and from the cleaning station. Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment to remove ink and emulsion from screens. Reclaim and prep screens for reuse, including degreasing, drying, and coating. Inspect screens for damage and report issues to supervisors. Maintain proper documentation of cleaned and prepped screens. Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals and equipment. Keep the cleaning area organized and compliant with safety standards.
+ Cutting: Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools or cutting machines.
