Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Level 4 Production Equipment Technician/Mechanic to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be located on site in El Segundo, CA.
Essential Functions:
Perform mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting on all equipment using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructionsPerform routine mechanical / electrical / electronic preventative maintenance on plant equipment, including our CNC and automated machines, Automated Fiber Placement machines, Boilers, Autoclaves, HVAC systems, General lighting, Air compressors, Hydraulic systems, Overhead Cranes etc.Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logsUses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipmentMay redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipmentJob activities align with that of a typical Millwright positionOther duties to support Maintenance Team as assignedThe position is for 2nd shift (2:30pm-12am).Basic Qualifications for Level 4 Production Equipment Technician/Mechanic:
High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience working in the manufacturing industry as an Electrical / Mechanical Industrial Maintenance Technician or MillwrightMust have general knowledge of CNC machinery maintenance and repairMust have basic understanding of pneumatic, vacuum, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, pressure, and combustion/burner systemsMust have the ability to support the 2nd Shift schedule.Must be able to lift over 50lbs., climb ladders, and work at heightsPreferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a NC maintenance technician or Robotics technicianLicensed Journeyman or Master tradesman, or Journeyman level Automated Maintenance Technician ProgramElectrician: Must be proficient and knowledgeable in 3 phase and single-phase power distribution systems, motor controls, wiring and troubleshooting of such systems including 24 VDC to 480 VAC systemsAbility to maintain and troubleshoot composite production equipment such as 5-Axis CNC Machines, Automated Fiber Placement systems, automatic ultrasonic scanning systems, autoclaves, paint booths, ovens, etc.Familiarity with Siemens SIMATIC Step 7Expert level experience with variety of controllers (Allen Bradley, ABB, Honeywell, Siemens, Rexroth, etc.) and I/O troubleshootingAbility to install, program, startup, and maintain variable frequency drives, PLCs and PID controllersCertifications or demonstrated competency repairing complex electro-mechanical systemsCertifications or demonstrated competency repairing automated motion control systemsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.Working knowledge of HVAC maintenanceExperience in the Aerospace and/or Defense industryExperience with building maintenance management systems (CMMS/CAFM), including Maximo and work order trackingThe ability to obtain a DoD Secret US Clearance.We offer flexible work arrangements, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Primary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
