Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Level 4 Production Equipment Technician/Mechanic to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be located on site in El Segundo, CA.
Essential Functions:
Performs installation, maintenance and repairs on-line manufacturing equipmentLocates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructionsMaintains appropriate maintenance and repair logsUses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipmentMay redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipmentMay estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as requiredBasic Qualifications for Level 4 Production Equipment Technician/Mechanic:
High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience as a maintenance technician or mechanicMust have general knowledge of CNC machinery maintenance and repairMust have basic understanding of pneumatic, vacuum, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, pressure, and combustion/burner systemsMust have the ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and on-call rotationsMust be able to lift over 50lbs., climbing ladders, and working at heightsPreferred Qualifications:
Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial MaintenanceExperience with composite production equipment such Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) systems, automatic ultrasonic scanning systems, autoclaves, paint booths, ovensExperience with process PID tuningInstallation, programming, startup, and maintenance of variable frequency drivesExperience in the Aerospace and/or Defense industryExperience with building maintenance management systems (CMMS/CAFM), including Maximo and work order trackingExperience with variety of controllers (Allen Bradley, ABB, Honeywell, Siemens, etc.) and I/O troubleshootingThe ability to obtain a DoD Secret US Clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
