**Job Title: Production Coordinator**
Job Description
The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and providing the training, tools, and materials required to meet scheduled customer demand within a designated production area. This role requires adherence to company policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate with the Supervisor to assign work, ensuring on-time production and quality goals are met, including staging, trailer availability, and staffing.
+ Control workflow to meet efficiency targets, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity.
+ Train and coach team members through on-the-job training and production orientation for new hires.
+ Record accurate data on production, labor, team members, and scrap in a timely manner, and complete shift paperwork.
+ Ensure inventory accuracy and manage inventory effectively.
+ Ensure all purchased and manufactured materials are available to meet production goals.
+ Collaborate with Maintenance and Manufacturing personnel to address machine downtime.
+ Ensure safety best practices are followed at all times.
+ Ensure that all quality standards for the production area are met and perform quality checks.
+ Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills to articulate ideas and identify areas for improvement, developing positive relationships with employees to establish credibility.
+ Be results-oriented and motivate others.
+ Fill in for the Department Supervisor in their absence.
+ Obtain and maintain a forklift license.
+ Maintain security of buildings, grounds, equipment, materials, and personnel.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

+ Mechanical competence and knowledge of safety-conscious practices.
+ Experience in manufacturing and inventory management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to spend extended time on feet.
+ Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination with hand/power tools.
+ Ability to frequently stoop, bend, walk, carry, and lift (up to 50 pounds).
+ Proficiency in reporting and clerical duties on a computer and/or tablet.
+ Must obtain a forklift license and certification within 45 days from hire date.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $53040.00/yr.
Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution after your first year of employment) among others.

This is a fully onsite position in Lawrence,KS.
