Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated Production Control Co-op to join our Oxnard operations team and gain hands-on experience optimizing manufacturing workflows, inventory management, and production scheduling. This role offers practical exposure to how technology and data-driven decision-making directly impact business efficiency and customer satisfaction.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules using ERP/MRP systems Monitor work orders and coordinate with manufacturing teams to meet delivery commitments Track production progress and identify potential bottlenecks or delays Generate daily/weekly production reports and KPI dashboards Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities Support continuous improvement initiatives with data-driven insights Communicate schedule changes, priorities and constraints to stakeholders across departments Participate in production meetings and capacity planning discussions Work with quality and engineering teams on process improvements

Required Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, or related degree program A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, macros) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and production flow optimization Comfortable learning new software and digital tools quickly Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Team player with initiative and adaptability

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing or operations experience is an asset Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, CostPoint) Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms
