Summary
A Production Control Clerk I provide support to the production department by coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials according to the production schedule. A production control clerk reviews and distributes production, work, and shipment schedules, generates work orders, compiles production data, and confers with department supervisors. A production control clerk monitors the inventory of parts, components, raw materials and coordinates ordering and scheduling with vendors. A production control clerk inputs and maintains production and purchasing information in the currently deployed software tools, dashboards and other data repositories, to maintain a consistent and accurate flow of information company wide regarding status on purchase and material work orders. A production control clerk also needs skills in data entry, customer support, material inventory records, and clerical tasks. A production control clerk may also analyze production records and objectives, deadlines, and work orders.
Position Responsibilities
Act as an Empower PLM Engineering database support for both production and procurement activities.Write and review Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and/or Purchase Orders (POs), material work orders (MOs) for print, distribution, or issuance to a manager, vendor, or the work floor. Process requests for parts either by issuance of or requisitioning and ordering.Use all tools and dashboards to enter appropriate data in for consumption or conversion.Performs other related duties as assigned by managementBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
A High School Diploma with at least 0-1 years’ experience.A Production or Procurement background with experience in ERP or MRP systems would be a definite plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.APICS training.Experience of or with using PLM database such as Empower (previously Omnify PLM) preferred.Provide support for production and procurement processes.Experience with Costpoint a definite plus.Must be detail oriented, possess eagerness to learn, and have a technical aptitude and ability to work with procurement and production teams.Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well both individually and with people at all levels are essential.Strong professionalism, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).Physical Demands
Sitting and typing on a PC for extended periods.Regularly required to stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.Frequently required to communicate in person or using video conferencing.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance
Work is in an office environment, climate controlled through central air conditioning/heating.May have some exposure to outside environment while traveling.Special Requirements
U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.Must be able to travel within the Continental U.S. and internationally when required.

The salary range for this role is:
$16 - $23AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
