Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

Join a dynamic team dedicated to manufacturing dry freight containers and specialized expandable shelters for the USA military. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to important projects while developing your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Remove tape from gaskets and ensure the finish line is maintained.Pull freight containers onto the lifts and check for missing paint on the bottom.Install vent covers, data plates, drill holes, and apply caulking around edges.Stencil numbers on the sides of containers for identification.Participate in the sandblasting department, including blowing dust off containers and unloading/loading sandboxes.Perform general cleanup tasks and manage heavy lifting when necessary.Operate under a blasthood with fresh air supply, requiring non-claustrophobic individuals.Utilize high-pressure hoses in sandblasting tasks.

Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a fast-moving environment.Proficiency in reading work orders and matching numbers to the appropriate container.Experience with hand and power tools.Adaptability and eagerness to learn new skills.Understanding of blueprints and sandblasting processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous sandblasting experience is a plus.Familiarity with military standards and industrial experience.A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Work Environment

Work is conducted Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm. The environment is hot and dirty, requiring steel-toed boots. Operations take place under a covered pavilion that is not climate-controlled.

This is a Contract position based out of Summerville, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
