Job Title: Production Associate
Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Production Associate to join our team. The role involves maintaining flour dusters, managing rework, and handling materials to support various production tasks such as inspecting, pre-weighing, blending, mixing, and packing. You will assist equipment operators, track production data, and uphold safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include cleaning plant equipment, loading and unloading products, and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety regulations.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain flour dusters and manage rework.Lift up to 50 lbs and assemble or move materials as needed.Assist equipment operators to meet production targets.Input and track production, safety, and quality data.Perform detailed cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment.Load and unload products from the production line.Ensure daily adherence to GMP, PPE, SOP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.Inspect packaged finished goods and ingredients.Ensure integrity and certification of food safety and quality systems.Report and take action to prevent food safety and quality issues.Evaluate hazards and verify safety measures and procedures.Operate equipment controls, flour systems, and blender recipe systems.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in production and general labor within a food processing plant.Ability to assist machine operators and read work orders.Skill in loading raw ingredients and unloading final products.Competence in basic math calculations and machine operation.Forklift operation skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and interpret safety rules and procedural manuals.Mathematical proficiency in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Reasoning ability to carry out instructions in various forms.Capability to solve problems with concrete variables.Proficiency in English for reading work documents.Strong focus on safety and good attendance.Understanding of plant quality requirements and GMPs.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment involves exposure to elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, and noise, with seasonal changes in temperature and humidity. You will encounter physical risks and hazards, including mechanical and chemical dangers. The role requires physical endurance with standing, walking, lifting, and carrying tasks. Protective equipment such as bump caps, safety glasses, and gloves will be provided. Expect time pressures, frequent task changes, multitasking, and teamwork in a dynamic setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
