Production Associate
**Job Title: Production Associate** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Production Associate to join our Cast Acrylic Department. The role involves manufacturing aviation and boat acrylic using the full production process according to specifications. **Responsibilities** + Cut acrylic from sheets and inspect materials for contour and flaws. + Install tooling according to specific work orders and adjust router bits as needed. + Measure all hard callouts according to blueprints and work orders. + Inspect windshields for any machine flaws and deliver to the next workstation as designated. + Set up drill stations, oil drills, and mark windows according to work orders. + Combine window sets and process paperwork in accordance with lot-trace compliance. + Place individual parts on drill fixtures, chamfer all holes, and inspect for irregularities. + Remove protective paper from acrylic squares and examine for imperfections. + Sand corners and rough edges of acrylic squares to prevent damage. + Program ovens to cook acrylic squares according to work orders. + Apply protective paper to acrylic squares and finished windows, ensuring no scratches or distortions. + Use orbital sanders and polishers to repair damaged areas and remove scratches. + Sign-off on all work orders and maintain traceability of parts. + Maintain a neat and orderly work area and report to work on time each day. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read close tolerance measuring devices. + Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with fractions and decimals. + Experience operating large walk-in ovens and autoclaves. + Skill in sealing and bagging laminates, ensuring no leaks using vacuum gages. + Understanding and following blueprints, verbal and written work orders, and process specs. + Clear communication skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED preferred. + Blueprint reading class preferred. + 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. + Experience in orbital sanding, auto body or wood sanding, and material forming. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team that values precision and quality in a supportive and growth-oriented environment. You will be standing for 7 to 9 hours a day and should be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, reaching, and using various tools. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
