**Production Worker** **1st Shift | $22/hr | Aurora, IL** **Overview** As a Production Worker, you will operate equipment to utilize raw ingredients precisely in creating flavor products. You must understand all safety, quality, and operational procedures relevant to your role. You will use tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and container filling, ensuring ingredients match shop orders accurately. Following production, safety, quality, and operational procedures is essential to verify and record information during the production process. This is a 1st shift position with a start time of 8AM. If interested in this position, then please apply today and an Aerotek Recruiter will reach out within 24-48 hours. **Responsibilities** + Operate equipment to utilize raw ingredients precisely. + Understand and adhere to safety, quality, and operational procedures. + Use tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and filling containers. + Match ingredients to shop orders using computer, scan gun, and other tools. + Follow procedures to verify and record production information. + Ensure proper ventilation and use safety equipment. + Develop understanding of Quality Control requirements and follow policies. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of shipping & receiving or batch mixing experience. + Production and general labor experience. + Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays. + Excellent attention to detail and adherence to policies and procedures. + Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics, including metric in English. + Physical ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly. + Experience in the food industry and familiarity with industry-related quality systems and procedures is highly preferred. + Willingness to learn and adapt. **Work Environment** The work environment is a very clean, temperature-controlled food facility. Given it is a flavoring company, the smell can be strong depending on production but mostly it has pleasant sweet aromas. The role includes occasional use of a full-face respirator, requiring candidates to pass related medical screening, fit testing, and conform to grooming standards. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
