Job Description
As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for following all food-related GMP and SOP guidelines, packing items on the lines for shipment (dry powdered contents), ensuring items are not damaged, and correctly using ingredients for mixing. This role requires accurate recording of lot and bag numbers, maintaining sanitation practices, and keeping a clean work area. You will also be lifting 50-55 lbs consistently and working in confined spaces and hot environments.
ResponsibilitiesFollow all food-related GMP and SOP guidelines.Pack items on the lines for shipment (dry powdered contents).Ensure items are not damaged or broken.Use ingredients correctly for mixing, coulter, apg, etc.Check weights and accurately record all lot and bag numbers used.Maintain sanitation practices of the equipment.Keep the work area clean.Lift 50-55 lbs consistently at waist height or shift weight side to side.Work in confined spaces and hot environments.Utilize heights (catwalks above machines).Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a large, older style brick manufacturing building with additional locations across the street. The facility produces dry powder items such as Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa mix and adheres to GMP requirements. The environment can be hot in certain areas, although the mixing area is air-conditioned. The starting pay is $19/hour with shift differentials offered for 2nd and 3rd shifts. GMP requirements include checking for food allergies, no jewelry or accessories, wearing uniforms at all times, and steel-toed boots above the ankle.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Defiance, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.75/hr.
