Production Assistant
Job Title: Production AssistantJob Description The Production Assistant will work closely with other production employees to complete the day-to-day and administrative tasks of the Production Department. Responsibilities + Release sales order job orders once approved by the Sales & Production Department. + Release internal job orders once approved by the Production Department. + Organize sales order packets and job travelers based on work centers. + Enter shipment data into Shippers and ship sales orders. + Proof and close completed job orders. + Upload shipment pictures into Docstar. + Upload completed orders into the accounting folder. + Review customer sales orders and purchase orders in Docstar weekly for accuracy. + Coordinate cycle counting once issued by the Production Department. + Deduct weekly scrap once received by the Production Department. + Review weekly UPS and FedEx Bills for variances. Essential Skills + Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. + Experience with data entry and administrative tasks within manufacturing. + Excellent communication skills. + Relationship building. + Attention to detail. + Ability to work quickly, accurately, and communicate as a team member. + Adaptable to changing responsibilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Made2Manage ERP system is a big plus. Work Environment The position is located in an open office area with four cubicles connecting. The Production Assistant will be stationed at one of the cubicles, alongside their Customer Service person and Production Manager. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break, totaling 37.5 paid weekly hours. The dress code is business casual, and jeans are acceptable. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
