Job Title: Product Verification Engineer

Job Description

As a Product Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for the verification of an optical product with significant software components. You will focus on both pre-release and post-release testing, debugging, and validation. This role involves close collaboration with software, hardware, and optical design teams, as well as customers, to ensure product quality and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and create test cases and test plans.Develop and enhance automation scripts primarily in C#, with some Python.Execute manual and automated tests, including regression and sanity runs.Investigate and resolve issues found internally or by customers, working with designers to identify root causes.Support continuous integration and regression testing infrastructure.Participate in maintenance and post-release support as needed.

Essential Skills

Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded product/software verification or validation.Strong experience with Object Oriented Programming.Strong experience with writing Python to automate test cases.Familiarity with test automation frameworks and methodologies.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with GNMI, GNOI, or similar northbound interfaces.Exposure to security testing in embedded/networked products.Hands-on troubleshooting, debugging, and a 'tinkerer' mindset.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Proactive problem-solving and ability to investigate non-obvious bugs.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role with some flexibility for occasional remote work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nepean, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
