Job Description:

TD Wealth is part of TD Bank Group (TD), one of Canada’s largest financial institutions. Our Wealth Advice business is made up of Private Wealth Management (PWM) and Financial Planning (FP) lines of business. Both take a sophisticated and holistic goals discovery approach to wealth planning and protection to provide highly personalized advice, solutions, and service to clients.

Our team in the Advice Journey help to set the digital strategy for Wealth Advice while supporting our Advice field professionals.

Team Overview 
TD Wealth Advice leads the end-to-end vision and strategy for helping Canadians with their Advice needs. The Advice Journey plays a critical role in enabling the client experience strategy and delivering on key business outcomes.  The Journey is part of the Next Evolution of Work operating model and has embraced new ways of working to deliver efficient outcomes and empower our teams as we strive to deliver our north star and achieve our Objectives and Key Results in support of our business goals.

The Pod Owner I, will report directly to the Product Group Owner, Engagement and Deepening, Wealth Advice Journey. Within the Wealth Advice Journey, the Engagement and Deepening Product Group drives a One Wealth Advice vision and strategy through strategic roadmaps and delivery and execution oversight. The Engagement and Deepening Product Group presently consists of the following PODs:

1. HNW CX: Seeks to develop a bank-wide, elevated client experience for HNW clients through omnichannel improvements including digital, mobile and phone, while identifying growth opportunities.

2. Private Trust, Planning and Specialized Services: Seeks to drive holistic planning and deliver business value by executing against opportunities to deepen client relationships.

3. Deepening and Extending Client Experience: Seeks to Make it easy to engage with TD across LoBs and manage ongoing relationships with compelling client experiences including (but not limited to) Artificial Intelligence, Open Banking, LEI program(s) and Social Media tools.

Key Accountabilities

You will lead your Pod to ensure that its creating value for the organization through the delivery of client-focused product increments. This entails aligning with the Journey and partners to manage execution of all Pod Features and associated activities including but not limited to:

Drive vision and strategy

Operate at the intersection of data analysis, field input, market insights, and business acumen to develop actionable plans that align with the Wealth Advice vision and strategy

Continuously align with Journey leadership and partners on the product delivery roadmap, defined Minimum Marketable Features or Minimum Viable Products and release cadence

Frame problem statements, draw out meaningful insights and recommend and drive solutions to align to our OKRs

Lead, leverage, drive alignment and shared outcomes with cross functional members within pod, product group and product family

Facilitate end to end process mapping of current state experience and define aspirational state roadmap. 

Drive clarity, awareness alignment

Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities within the Wealth Advice Journey and all related ceremonies

Exceptional organizational skills, including ability to employ systematic approach for identifying and tracking dependencies, ensuring proper resolution of outstanding items, and structuring efficient stakeholder meetings/discussions

Proactively manage business stakeholders to obtain inputs needed for product development in a timely manner

Actively coordinate and engage in risk, quality and/or business testing management

Lead the submission and discussion on the Quarterly Business Review, with respect to the pod

Innovation and Emerging Technologies

Supporting potential new initiatives, the resource will assist in the investigation of new capabilities and technologies for the Wealth Advice business

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

You demonstrate deep subject matter business expertise

Strong business background, experience and knowledge of Wealth Advice businesses: processes, technologies, policy and interaction model

Strong communicator, with the ability to synthesize complex analysis, findings and recommendations and drive action

Scaled agile

Proficient in JIRA and Confluence is a must and experience with Clarity an added asset

Understanding of all key ceremonies within DEF framework

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification or experience operating in scaled agile delivery and asset
