Job Description
Create analytics solutions to drive efficiency throughout portfolio management process for multiple business units and insurance products
Align with senior executives to scope, manage, and deliver scalable AI assets
Lead model reviews with analytics and business stakeholders, clearly articulating complex models to business leadership teams
Manage delivery of cross functional teams consisting of data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers, and software engineers
Analyze the output of models, delegating questions to junior data scientists
Stay current with product specific trends throughout the industry
Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to the project team throughout the project lifespan. This includes (but not limited to)
Knowing which sources of data to explore
Identifying and communicating the key trends, data limitations and business stakeholders to the project team
Scoping the business problem out so that the project team can determine the best model/analysis/solution
Assess reasonability of the data and/or model prior to sharing with the key business stakeholders
Collaborate with other Product Owners and Portfolio Managers to ensure any related projects/dependencies are identified and met
Create presentations to business to showcase product capabilities and project status in clear, direct language
Masters Degree in a quantitative field or credited actuary (FCAS/ACAS)5+ years’ professional experience in advanced analytics at a P&C insurance companyAbility to critically think and understand new algorithms quicklyMastery of machine learning algorithms and advanced modeling techniques1+ years experience leading data science modeling projectsThought leader in how to use data and analytics to address business requirements, current and future lookingAbility to think strategically, execute tactically, and take initiatives, with an attention to detail mindsetAbility to effectively understand data, analyze results, draw insights and conclusions, and recommend appropriate actions in an atmosphere of fact-based decision-making
The pay range for the role is $103,400 to $170,700. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
