Product Owner
Job Title: Product Owner Overview + A trusted leader in precision measurement and control solutions, is seeking an experienced Product Owner / Sales Engineer to drive strategic product direction while generating revenue across high‑impact industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, and food manufacturing. + This hybrid role blends product ownership, technical expertise, and consultative sales, ensuring the success of wireless data logger solutions that monitor critical variables such as temperature and pressure—even in harsh or regulatory‑controlled environments. + The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, industry relationships, and both the business acumen and customer‑facing skill set necessary to influence product strategy and close complex deals. Key Responsibilities + Define product requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to drive solution design, feature enhancements, and product roadmap priorities. + Lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting and needs analysis through solution development, proposals, negotiations, and closing. + Identify and grow new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, and food industry markets. + Deliver technical presentations, demos, and ROI analyses while advising customers on hardware, software, and connectivity solutions. + Build and maintain strong relationships with technical and executive stakeholders, maintaining accurate CRM forecasting and pipeline records. + Monitor market trends and competitive activity, represent the company at industry events, and travel up to 50% for customer engagements. Required Qualifications + 5–15 years of consultative sales experience with technical products, instrumentation, sensors, or software solutions. + Experience in product ownership, product management, sales engineering, electronics, or a technical discipline. + Strong understanding of hardware + software applications, especially in data acquisition or monitoring. + Experience selling into regulated industries such as pharma, biotech, healthcare, or food. + Proven ability to analyze customer challenges and translate them into actionable product and solution recommendations. + Self‑starter with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and build customer relationships. + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. + Existing industry contacts in data logging, pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sectors. "Nice-to-Have" Skills + Wireless data logging experience (temperature, pressure, environmental monitoring). + Experience with embedded autonomous data logging technologies. + Exposure to food, biotech, or pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. + Strong understanding of harsh‑environment instrumentation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reston, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
