What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Director, Business Banking Products, Solutions and Channels, the Senior Manager, Product Owner will support the Ascend, (BBPT) Business Transformation Project at CIBC by assisting in the development and execution of product initiatives. This role is essential for helping to define product requirements, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to the overall success of the project. The Product Owner will work closely with the Director, Senior Product Owner and cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

How you’ll succeed
Product Support - Assist in defining and communicating the product vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with the Director, Senior Product Owner to gather, prioritize, and refine product requirements.
Product Delivery - Oversee the end-to-end product delivery process, ensuring that product features are delivered on time and meet quality standards. Coordinate with development teams to ensure that product backlogs are well-defined and prioritized for efficient delivery.
Agile Participation - Support cross-functional teams in an agile environment, contributing to the timely delivery of product features. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to foster team collaboration and improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement - Help facilitate communication with stakeholders to ensure their needs are understood and addressed. Build relationships with internal teams to support product success.
Market Research - Conduct basic market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions. Assist in identifying trends and opportunities for innovation within the business transformation space.
Performance Tracking - Help define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact. Analyze feedback and data to support informed decisions and adjustments to the product roadmap.
Documentation & Reporting - Maintain product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps. Assist in providing updates to the Senior Product Owner and management on project status and opportunities.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience of more than 2 years in Agile Product Owner/Management or related experience It’s an asset if have experience in product management tools e.g., JIRA, Confluence.
