Job Summary:
The Vice President, Scrum Master is responsible for leading and managing the continued Agile evolution within the 55ip organization. This role involves overseeing multiple squads, ensuring that Agile principles and practices are effectively implemented, and driving continuous improvement in product development processes. The VP, Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to deliver high-quality products and achieve strategic business goals.
Job Requirements:
Lead two or three squads as a Scrum Master and facilitate ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and focused. Drive the Agile evolution strategy and implementation, aligning with 55ip’s organizational goals and objectives. Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on product vision, goals, and priorities. Identify and address impediments to team progress, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Monitor and report on key agility metrics, providing insights and recommendations to squads during retrospectives. Use Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence to track progress and generate Sprint and project reporting. Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability within the teams and across the organization. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Agile methodologies, incorporating relevant insights into the organization's Agile practices. Champion Agile values and principles, advocating for their adoption and integration into the organization's culture.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is required. Minimum of 8 years of experience in Agile project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successfully leading Agile transformations in an organization. Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.Preferred Skills:
Experience in the Wealth Management and/or Asset Management industry. Experience in coaching and mentoring Agile teams.
