Job Description
The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing product planning and marketing throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves gathering and prioritizing product and customer needs, defining product visions aligned with strategic goals, collaborating with Project Management to develop new products, and working with Sales and Marketing to launch products. Post-release market surveillance is crucial to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Business or Life Sciences required.
+ Understanding of Assays in Medical Device or Medical Products and interpretation/organization of data
+ 4-6 years of experience in Product and/or Project Management required.
+ 2-4 years of experience as a Product Manager preferred.
+ Strong understanding of the Product Lifecycle required.
+ Previous experience in the medical device or medical products industry required.
+ Experience with diagnostic reagents or instrumentation required.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the product market.
+ Attend conventions, tradeshows, sales meetings, and training programs.
+ Establish relationships with key opinion leaders and industry experts.
+ Identify competitor activities and develop strategies to address them.
+ Identify market opportunities for existing and new products.
+ Define the strategy and roadmap for existing and new products.
+ Collaborate closely with Project Management to deliver products that meet market needs.
+ Develop core positioning and messaging for specific products.
+ Assess partnerships and licensing opportunities with external third parties.
+ Provide management with reports, including business plans and sales forecasts for specific products.
+ Develop and execute strategic launch plans for product updates and new products.
+ Coordinate the development of marketing tools and activities, such as brochures, training materials, and internet sites.
+ Conduct well-organized product presentations to customer accounts.
+ Coordinate white papers and studies related to product behavior and performance.

+ Ability to learn new and existing instrumentation and technology.
+ Adherence to corporate personnel policies, including attendance and punctuality.
+ Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
+ AIPMM Certification (or similar) preferred.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davis, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $75.00/hr.
