Product Management Director
Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on Product Management Director to lead product strategy, innovation, and execution across the entire Ovid Health Research portfolio—including journals, databases, clinical research platforms, and workflow solutions.

In this senior leadership role, you will:

Define the multi‑year product vision and roadmapDrive platform transformation and AI‑enabled innovationPartner closely with the GM, executive leadership, and cross‑functional teamsRepresent product strategy in board and investor forumsLead company‑level strategic initiatives, including M&A evaluation and integration

This role requires a product leader who can set vision and drive execution, balancing customer needs, market insight, and technology opportunities.

Key Responsibilities1. Product Strategy & RoadmapDefine and own the end‑to‑end product vision and multi‑year roadmapConvert customer and market insights into prioritized, measurable initiatives2. Executive Partnership & StrategyServe as the GM’s key product partnerParticipate in executive planning and business reviewsPrepare board materials and lead strategic, cross‑company initiatives3. AI & Innovation LeadershipLead development of Ovid’s responsible AI strategy (LLMs, generative AI, vector search)Drive innovation in intelligent search, automated literature synthesis, personalization, and evidence summarization4. Platform Transformation & DeliveryDirect next‑generation Ovid platform definition and deliveryGuide discovery, feature prioritization, success metrics, and launch execution5. Product Development ExcellenceLead product lifecycle processes (discovery → delivery → optimization)Set KPIs and embed user‑centered, data‑driven practices6. Organizational Alignment & ExecutionAlign product, engineering, platform, marketing, sales, and operationsRemove execution barriers and drive cross‑functional initiatives to completion7. Customer & Market LeadershipBuild empathy for researcher, clinician, student, and academic workflowsRun VoC programs and advisory boards to uncover whitespace opportunities8. Commercial & Partnership EnablementTranslate product value into GTM plansEvaluate partnerships and support M&A opportunities9. Compensation:

$181,900.00 - $325,050.00 USD

 

This role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position.  Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
