The Global Cash Management Sales (GCMS) Specialist will be responsible for managing, developing, and expanding global cash management relationships within an assigned portfolio of CIB Global Clients. This role is focused on driving revenue growth through strategic cross-selling of global and domestic cash management solutions, while working closely with Global Client Coverage teams, transactional bankers, local Cash Management units, and technical and innovation teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relationship Management & Revenue Growth

Drive cash management revenue growth by actively managing a portfolio of global clients, with a strong focus on originating outbound opportunities and generating cross-border revenues.

Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, including Regional Treasurers, Shared Service Centers, and Finance Directors.

Lead and participate in senior-level client meetings (virtual and in-person) to promote BBVA’s full suite of Cash Management solutions, including liquidity and cash pooling structures, payments and collections, bank accounts, e-banking platforms, direct connectivities, virtual account solutions, etc.

Design, present, and deliver comprehensive global Cash Management strategies for multinational corporations, recommending and implementing tailored solutions across BBVA’s international footprint.

Identify, originate, and execute cross-selling opportunities to increase global cash management revenues.

Build and maintain a robust pipeline of international and regional cash management opportunities, measured by client engagement, revenue growth, and digital adoption.

Proactively analyze client activity, transaction flows, and portfolio performance to identify new product opportunities aligned with evolving treasury needs.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior Treasury and Finance executives, understanding their cash management, liquidity, and connectivity requirements.

Contribute to the preparation of RFPs/RFIs in close collaboration with global and regional bid teams, designing compelling value propositions and leading product presentations to clients.

Support pricing strategy, business case development, and ongoing income monitoring across the portfolio.

Coordination & Implementation of Cash Management Services

Work closely with global and local relationship managers, as well as cash management product specialists, to align solutions and ensure smooth service implementation in line with client requirements.

Oversee end-to-end execution of complex implementation projects, including centralized liquidity structures and payment/collection frameworks, ensuring timely onboarding, documentation completion, and service activation.

In partnership with global implementation teams, organize and lead regular governance and working sessions with client treasury and implementation teams to coordinate reporting, payments, and collections integration through APIs, Host-to-Host, SWIFT, and other channels.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Technology, Operations, IT Security, Compliance) to coordinate pricing execution, onboarding processes, and contractual documentation.

Ensure delivery of all required documentation, technical specifications, client training, and service materials in a timely and effective manner.

Cross-Regional Collaboration

Act as a knowledge hub for BBVA’s global cash management and transactional banking capabilities, with a particular focus on Europe, South America, and Turkey.

Champion continuous improvement by sharing market insights and client feedback to inform product development and future roadmap decisions.

Stay up to date on market trends, technological innovations, and regulatory developments impacting the global cash management landscape.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in international cash management sales, product management, or digital banking platforms.

Proven track record of managing senior-level client relationships and generating revenue growth.

Strong knowledge of cash management products and practices; international experience is highly desirable.

Solid understanding of international payment systems, XML standards, and connectivity channels such as SWIFT, Host-to-Host, APIs, and electronic banking platforms.

Experience in the implementation of cash pooling and liquidity management solutions is a plus.

Strong project management and execution capabilities.

Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs).

Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 60%).
