Product Feature Director

You will be a part of the global Product Management team working in a high paced and high-energy environment that changes rapidly influenced by market conditions, customer needs and company strategy. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining product feature strategies connected to Volvo’s brand platform ensuring a competitive product position for VTNA market across all product lines. **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Ensure long term competitive product features for VTNA by defining product strategies via Wanted Feature Position way of working. + Perform feature gap analysis, propose main gaps to close in wanted product plan and secure regular update of Feature roadmaps. + Understand customer decision making process and how Volvo Trucks wanted feature position correlate to “customers willingness to pay". + Map feature position to profitability analysis by securing voice of customer in various market segments. + Support with balanced project wanted position with high-level feature content for major projects & streams. + Manage strategic activities to build business insights and trends to enable strategy and business decision making (e.g. in segmentation, volumes & actual vehicle usage and performance). + Conduct customer interviews, surveys and apply an “outside in” view to aid in overall feature work and prioritization. + Liaison between Conventional Product Line team and Volvo Trucks Product Management Strategy team to ensure global view of Total Offer and Wanted Feature Position. + Work closely with product planning, market intelligence and product marketing to align and drive feature activities. **Who are you?** **To be the perfect match for this role, your critical competencies will include:** + Global Development Process (DVP) + Product knowledge regarding cab, chassis, powertrain or electrical + Truck market + Driving for Results + Courage + Holistic view + Influencing + Inspiring Leadership + Directing Others **Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates:** You will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. **Preferred Experience and Knowledge:** 7 years relevant industry experience in product planning, product marketing, operations or product development within commercial vehicle industry **As a successful product feature director, you will:** + Lead with passion + Perform with purpose + Transform with vision **Ready for the next move?** Are you excited to bring your skills and ideas to the table? For this position, the base pay is set at $143,600.00 - $177,300.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
