Responsibilities include:Offer technical direction related to prototype builds, tooling concepts, project execution, and quality system deliverables.Interpret detailed or unclear customer specifications and convert them into structured, actionable development strategies.Carry out tasks associated with planning for development‑stage manufacturing, such as defining bills of materials, drafting work instructions, estimating labor time, designing tooling, identifying inspection needs, and applying quality requirements to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery.Contribute to the preparation, support, and execution of technical design reviews.Verify that all documentation adheres to applicable quality, contractual, and regulatory standards.Produce technical summaries, validation reports, and qualification documents based on experimental data.Work directly with customers to recommend studies, improvements, or risk assessments that support their products and technologies.Build and maintain relationships with internal partners—engineering, operations, quality, sales, marketing, and design—to ensure coordinated progress on assignments.Anticipate potential technical interactions within manufacturing processes and develop backup strategies to minimize production or project risks.Translate customer quality and technical expectations into practical product specifications using design‑for‑manufacturing principles and a strong understanding of current production capabilities.Assist with development‑stage builds for assigned projects.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a physical science discipline from an accredited institution.
Foundational knowledge of standard engineering principles and experience using statistical or analytical tools (such as Gage R&R, DOE, capability studies, SPC, etc.).
Prior exposure to a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
Strong understanding of financial considerations and the ability to apply that insight to guide both near‑term and long‑term project decisions, including capital planning.
Communicates clearly—both verbally and in writing—with managers, project leads, peers, and customers, and can effectively summarize technical details for various audiences.
Skilled in creating and maintaining documentation such as process descriptions, validation protocols, qualification packages, technical reports, and test procedures.
Demonstrated advanced expertise in engineering or scientific concepts relevant to the role, with awareness of practices inside and outside the organization.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methods and principles.
Able to communicate professionally and effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
Experience with basic project management concepts and workflows.
Knowledgeable in following the organization’s quality procedures and documentation standards.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
