Product Administration - Fund Oversight Associate

As an Associate in Tax Oversight, you manage all tax aspects for US JPMorgan Funds and other pooled vehicles. You supervise third-party providers, review tax provisions and returns, and support product-related initiatives. You contribute to the development and implementation of tax solutions, ensuring compliance and accuracy across fund operations.

Job Responsibilities

Liaise as a subject matter expert for product-related initiatives and collaborate with functional areas.Supervise and review third-party service providers to ensure deliverables are complete, accurate, and timely.Review tax provisions, tax returns, and forms prepared by third-party providers.Identify tax issues for investments and strategies, perform tax research, and implement practical solutions.Support U.S. mutual funds investing in partnerships and other team deliverables.Develop, implement, and document taxation for new financial instruments and products.Oversee tax aspects of investment and alternative partnerships.Ensure compliance with IRS qualification tests and global tax/reporting requirements.Manage stakeholder relationships and cross-functional collaboration.Conduct advanced tax research and documentation, including review of offering and reorganization documents.Ensure adherence to risk management and control frameworks within the organization.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Demonstrate at least 6 years of experience in investment partnership taxation, with an accounting degree.Attain Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification for added expertise.Exhibit strong partnership tax technical knowledge, including allocations, PTP status, UBTI/ECI, and trader vs. investor distinctions.Apply experience with IRS qualification tests and tax accounting for loans and alternative assets.Supervise tax teams and manage third-party providers effectively.Conduct advanced tax research and documentation, including RIC income/excise taxation and ICI shareholder reporting.Utilize proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and automation tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Leverage global tax/reporting knowledge, including NRA withholding, FATCA, and CRS.Build expertise in C-corporation taxation.Operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills.Support continuous learning and process improvement initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Apply working knowledge of LLM prompting for BAU activities.
