**About Specialty Program Group:** Specialty Program Group (SPG) is the wholesale & MGA division of HUB International (5th Largest Global Broker). A Producer (Outside and Inside Sales) reviews, quotes and binds Equine and Farm/Ranch/Agribusiness related insurance policies for direct and brokered customers of the Equine Solutions Practice at Specialty Program Group. In addition, this person shall be responsible for working with Hub Private Client to identify and develop Hub referral sources and develop an internal network to place direct business and build their own book of business. This position is expected to meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
**Responsibilities**
**Marketing**
Identify and develop new clients through traditional marketing efforts by calling on center of influence, joining social and charitable organizations related to Equine and Agribusiness. Also develop related industry referral sources that may be able to refer clients such as blood stock agents. Furthermore, work with Hub Private Client to develop leads and opportunities from the Hub agent plant
**Quoting**
Work with the Existing Practice Leader Laura Koester to gather all underwriting information from the client and agent. Next, prepare all underwriting information necessary to take to our existing Equine markets. Explain the coverages to the client and/or broker and educate them on the specifics of the policy as necessary.
**Binding**
Upon client’s agreement to purchase the policy, obtain all of the necessary information to bind coverage and enter into AMS 360 and/or the carrier system. Prepare binder and request any additional documentation. Deliver the binder to the customer in a timely and accurate manner per company guidelines. Revise the binder as necessary.
**Payments**
Per carrier requirements, communicate payment options to the client and provide them with the necessary tools to make payment and/or apply payment for the customer as necessary.
**Servicing**
Understand and review the servicing parameters with the existing Equine staff and communicate those with the clients, along with providing multiple points of contact for the client.
**Requirements**
The formal education and experience for a Producer person can vary. However, the following are commonly required for this position:
+ Minimum of two years insurance experience, Property & Casualty license required.
+ Proven prior successful sales experience, including networking in industry circles
+ Knowledge of Equine and Agribusiness
+ Demonstrated strong decision-making ability
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
+ Ability to multi-task effectively and handle a fast-paced business environment
+ Flexibility with daily tasks
+ Goal oriented
+ Strong ability to organize and prioritize
