Job Title: Procurement SpecialistJob Description

The primary role of the Procurement Specialist is to lead and manage the sourcing strategy within specific categories, engaging with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives. This position involves overseeing the sourcing process, providing procurement advice, and generating relevant materials and reports for management.

ResponsibilitiesEngage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define category strategy plans for sourcing goods and services.Maintain a detailed knowledge of business drivers and how they influence business strategy.Act as a subject matter expert on procurement policies, processes, and best practices.Manage key sourcing activities for business projects, ensuring timely delivery, budgeting, and risk management.Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key strategic suppliers and identify potential new partners.Monitor compliance with the sourcing process, acting as an internal consultant at each stage.Develop strategy plans and sourcing pipelines for categories or sub-categories.Essential Skills5-7 years of experience in procurement, construction contract, project management, contract administration, and equipment procurement.Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.Analytical and decision-making skills.Understanding of procurement and sourcing techniques and supply chain management.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.Experience in construction contracting, equipment procurement, contract administration, and construction purchasing.Experience as a junior buyer or early career roles at companies like Skanska, Bechtel, Turner, Fluor, PLC is a plus.Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite in San Antonio, SAT16. The role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
