Position Overview

The Regional Business Unit Procurement Leader is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for direct and indirect spend across the region to support business objectives, optimize supplier performance, and ensure cost efficiency. This role acts as the key liaison between regional operations, corporate procurement, and business unit leadership to align sourcing strategies with both local market dynamics and global standards. The leader will drive supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, risk mitigation, and operational excellence in procurement. This role will ensure alignment with corporate procurement standards while driving regional efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainable value creation.Will report to the Global procurement organization of Cartier.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership

Implement regional procurement strategies aligned with Corporate Procurement objectives.

Lead sourcing initiatives to ensure competitive advantage, innovation, and sustainable value creation.

Monitor and analyze regional market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

 

Supplier & Contract Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and key stakeholders.

Negotiate and manage contracts to deliver favorable terms, cost savings, and compliance.

Oversee supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality, service, and ethical standards.

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with regional business leaders to understand operational needs and align procurement activities accordingly.

Integrated with global procurement teams to ensure consistency of policies, processes, and category strategies.

Communicate procurement goals, initiatives, and results to Corporate Procurement.

 

Operational Excellence

Drive standardization, efficiency, and digitalization of procurement processes within the region.

Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability practices.

Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement function.

 

Team Leadership

Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or Supply Chain, Business (Master’s preferred). 5 to 10+ years of Procurement or Supply Chain experience. Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management in a regional or global capacity. Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and financial understanding. Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of procurement digital tools and ERP system (SAP).
