Procurement Specialist
Job Title: Procurement SpecialistJob Description The primary role of a Procurement Specialist is to lead and manage the sourcing strategy within defined categories or sub-categories, collaborating with senior stakeholders. The specialist will oversee the sourcing process, provide materials and reports for management, and offer sourcing and procurement advice to various business areas. Responsibilities + Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define and implement category strategy plans and processes for sourcing goods and services. + Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of business drivers and their impact on business strategy. + Act as a subject matter expert on procurement policies, processes, and best practices. + Manage key sourcing activities for business projects ensuring timely delivery, budgeting, and appropriate risk management. + Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key existing strategic suppliers and identify potential new partners. + Monitor compliance with the sourcing process, acting as an internal consultant at each stage. + Develop category or sub-category strategy plans and sourcing pipelines. Essential Skills + Procurement, purchasing, purchase order, contract management, supplier management, project management, vendor management + Data center and construction project management + 10+ years of experience in procurement + Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills + Strong analytical and decision-making skills + Understanding of procurement and sourcing techniques and supply chain management + Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field Work Environment This position is 100% remote, with a preference for candidates in the CST time zone. The role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
