About the job
As Procurement & Planning Manager at HAY, you will lead a well-functioning Procurement & Planning team covering the Furniture and Lighting categories — two of HAY’s important and complex product areas.

Travel to suppliers in Europe and Asia (approximately 20 days per year) is expected.
Furthermore, the Procurement & Planning Manager secures stable, efficient, and compliant end-to-end supply execution across HAY’s Furniture and Lighting categories. The role leads Operational Procurement & Planning, ensuring accurate supply planning, disciplined purchase-to-pay execution, strong data quality, and reliable supplier performance — driving improvements in performance and inventory across the business through close collaboration across functions and strong, trust-based supplier partnerships.
More specifically, your daily tasks will include:
Leadership & Team ManagementLead, support, and develop a Procurement & Planning team (10 employees)Set clear direction, drive motivation, and ensure strong execution disciplineFoster a team-oriented culture focused on collaboration, shared ownership, and daily operational resultsStep into operational tasks when needed to secure business continuityOperational Procurement ExecutionManage daily PO creation, confirmations, delivery follow-up, and supplier escalationsEnsure contract adherence and strong P2P process complianceContinuously optimize internal procurement and planning processes through hands-on involvement in daily operationsMaintain close coordination with Category Buyers / Sourcing Managers, Sales Operations, Logistics, and QualitySupply & Inventory PlanningLead supply planning for Furniture & Lighting and translate forecasts into feasible supply plans.Identify and mitigate supply risks, long lead times, and capacity constraints.Provide clear supply visibility to Commercial, Product Development, and Category Management.Supplier Performance & Tactical BuyingMonitor operational supplier performance (OTIF, confirmation time, lead time adherence)Build, maintain, and strengthen close working relationships with suppliers to ensure high delivery performance and proactive issue resolutionResolve issues in close collaboration with Category Buyers / Sourcing ManagersExecute tactical buying within agreed contracts and sourcing strategiesSupport onboarding, audits, compliance, and documentation processesCross-Functional CollaborationEnsure smooth transitions from Sourcing and Product Development into operational readinessSupport Sourcing Managers with launch readiness, timelines, and supply implicationsCoordinate inbound performance, packaging, and receiving with Logistics and Warehouse teamsCommunicate planning updates and supply insights to Commercial and Leadership teamsAre you the Procurement & Planning Manager we are looking for?
