Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
+ + The Supply Chain Business Development Support Procurement Manager serves as the lead for Procurement and Supply Chain engagement across all Business Development (BD), capture, and proposal activities in pursuit of U.S. government and international defense programs. This position ensures Procurement supply chain strategies, supplier inputs, and cost proposals are compliant, competitive, and executable, directly contributing to the company’s growth and long-term mission objectives.
+ This role requires extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, comprehensive understanding of FAR and DFARS regulatory frameworks, and deep familiarity with the organizational structures, priorities, and global operations of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. The individual in this position will leverage both internal and external expertise to develop innovative supply chain solutions that position the company for success in competitive government solicitations.
+ This position operates under a hybrid work structure, combining remote flexibility with on-site participation for critical proposal reviews, supplier engagements, and program transition planning. Domestic and international travel may be required based on customer and program demands.
Key Responsibilities:
+ + Serve as the principal Procurement & Supply Chain representative on all assigned BD pursuits, RFP responses, and strategic capture efforts.
+ Lead the development and execution of Procurement & Supply Chain strategies that balance cost, technical performance, schedule, and compliance.
+ Manage the full proposal sourcing lifecycle, including drafting and issuing RFIs/RFQs, evaluating supplier and subcontractor responses, and leading price and term negotiations in alignment with FAR/DFARS and company policy.
+ Conduct detailed supplier analysis and recommend sourcing approaches that mitigate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and align with customer requirements.
+ Collaborate closely with Capture Management, Program Management, Finance, Engineering, and Contracts to integrate sourcing solutions into cohesive and compliant proposal packages.
+ Engage and coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs), including Operations, Quality, Compliance, Export Control, and Technical Teams, to validate proposal inputs, strengthen cost narratives, and enhance overall proposal competitiveness.
+ Clearly articulate supply chain risks and mitigation strategies during proposal reviews and executive decision gates.
+ Ensure all Procurement & Supply Chain related proposal documentation—including cost volumes, supplier justification narratives, and audit-ready supporting files—meets internal and customer submission standards.
+ Remain current on all applicable FAR/DFARS updates, DoD acquisition trends, and government sourcing policies to proactively adjust proposal approaches.
+ Support supplier relationship management efforts to position the company competitively for future work within aerospace sustainment, base operations support, and logistics-enabled mission programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
+ + Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
+ Experience:
+ Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or subcontract management, ideally within the aerospace and defense or government contracting sectors.
+ Demonstrated experience managing supply chain activities on large-scale, multi-branch government proposals.
+ Comprehensive understanding of government acquisition processes, including RFP development and compliance standards.
+ Skill:
+ Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Specialized Knowledge and Application
+ Regulatory Expertise:
+ Demonstrated proficiency in applying FAR/DFARS regulations, Cost Accounting Standards, CPSR compliance, and government contract flow-down requirements.
+ Branch Familiarity: Understanding of each military service’s structure and mission priorities:
+ U.S. Army – global logistics, sustainment, and modernization programs.
+ U.S. Navy – fleet readiness, maritime support, and ship/submarine sustainment.
+ U.S. Air Force – aircraft maintenance, global mobility, and logistics responsiveness.
+ U.S. Marine Corps – expeditionary operations with emphasis on integrated logistics and base support activities.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration:
+ Proven ability to engage key stakeholders and domain experts across the organization to integrate operational, technical, and contractual insights into high-quality proposal deliverables.
+ Strategic Outlook:
+ Capacity to align sourcing strategies with branch-specific acquisition cycles, fiscal year funding practices, and emerging DoD modernization initiatives.
+ Other Requirement:
+ U.S. citizenship required; active or eligible security clearance preferred.
+ Software:
+ Experience working within ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA and advanced proposal management tools.
+ Technology:
+ Company-issued computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.

+ The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
+ The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
+ USD $130,000 - $185,000
+ Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
