Procurement Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Buyer to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to cutting-edge programs and play a pivotal part in supporting national security initiatives within the aerospace industry. Responsibilities: • Identify and collaborate with suppliers to source materials and services that align with technical specifications, cost targets, and quality standards. • Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, and quality assurance, to ensure procurement aligns with project objectives. • Issue, manage, and oversee purchase orders and subcontracts, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and internal policies. • Track supplier performance, address delivery and quality issues, and implement corrective actions to resolve gaps. • Maintain detailed procurement records to support audits, reviews, and customer oversight. • Ensure proper acquisition, tracking, and accountability of government-furnished property and company-owned assets. • Develop and execute procurement strategies tailored to satellite components and systems. • Coordinate with security teams to ensure suppliers meet necessary security requirements. • Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to support strategic sourcing decisions. • Travel occasionally to supplier facilities or project sites, as required. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred. • 5 years+ of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within the aerospace or satellite industry. • Exceptional negotiation skills and a proven ability to foster productive relationships with suppliers. • Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail. • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Must be eligible for and capable of maintaining a Top Secret security clearance. • Knowledge of DFARS and government procurement processes is required.
