Our hybrid-flex work environment allows you to thrive remotely while connecting in person with your cohort at our Durham campus during key events. **Program Details** + **Duration** : 10-week internship from **May 18 – July 24, 2026** + **Schedule** : Full-time (40 hours/week) + **Work Environment** : Hybrid – remote work from the state of North Carolina with onsite events at our Durham campus + **Residency Requirement** : Interns must reside in the state of North Carolina for the duration of the program + **Experience** : Hands-on project work that supports our customers and strengthens communities across North Carolina + **Mentorship** : Interns are paired with a mentor and receive regular feedback to support their development **What You’ll Do** Join the Procurement Excellence team, where we elevate procurement performance through analytics, digital tooling, and continuous improvement. As an intern, you will support procurement analytics, market intelligence, and process optimization initiatives that enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness across sourcing and vendor management. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with data, enterprise tools, and cross-functional stakeholders while learning how procurement drives value in a healthcare organization. Your work will contribute to meaningful improvements that support internal teams and the communities we serve. **What You Bring** + Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking academic program in business, supply chain, information systems, data analytics, statistics, or a related field + Strong curiosity and interest in how data, tools, and processes support business and operational decision-making + Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams + Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills **Bonus Points** + Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Tableau + Prior internship or project experience in Data Analytics and Ai concepts + Comfortable communicating and presenting with various audiences + Interest in digital transformation, process improvement, or performance excellence concepts **Compensation:** + Rising Sophomore: $20/hr + Rising Junior/Senior $22/hr + Masters / JD: $29/hr + MBA / PharmD: $36/hr **Salary Range** At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
