Job Description:
We are the TD Procurement team dedicated to supporting TD Securities (TDS)—a fast‑growing and dynamic division (also known on the street as Capital Markets). Our team plays a critical role in enabling TDS to operate efficiently, responsibly, and competitively as we engage with third‑party partners across the globe.
We offer two distinct career paths, each supporting a different stage of the third‑party lifecycle:
1. Sourcing (Day 1 Activities)
Our Sourcing professionals lead the front‑end of the procurement process, including:
Managing competitive bid events (e.g., RFx)Running vendor selection processesLeading contract negotiationsPartnering with the business to develop sourcing strategies and drive valueThis path is ideal for individuals who enjoy strategic problem‑solving, market analysis, negotiation, and working closely with internal partners and suppliers from day one.
2. Vendor Management (Day 2 Activities)
Our Vendor Managers support all post‑contract activities to ensure long‑term value, compliance, and operational excellence, including:
Ongoing contract managementSupplier performance oversightRisk, compliance, and control managementRelationship management with third‑party partners throughout the life of the contractThis path is well‑suited for those who excel in governance, relationship building, risk management, and continuous improvement.
In this role you will interface with stakeholders across the organization, internal business partners, subject matter experts, other members of SSG and 3rd-parties to support the execution of the sourcing needs across the Bank.
CUSTOMER
Manage sourcing initiatives covering a range of complexity that support TD and business partner needs and objectives as well as help to mitigate risks to the organizationResponsible for the management and support of all SSG purchasing tools and is a subject matter expert on PO's, e-Auctions and Contract Compliance within the Ariba toolResponsible for placing PO's, coordinating with vendors and tracking PO progress.Ensure the accuracy of purchase requisitions, PO details and vendor invoicingManage issues with PO's in an efficient and timely manner. Ensure data accuracy within the tools and provide recommendations of ways to operate in more efficient and cost-effective mannerProactively engages with the Strategic Sourcing Functions and Purchasing Team to identify new opportunities to leverage purchasing tools and processes, and/or eAuction related buying strategiesEnsure effective delivery of Strategic Sourcing Group (SSG) services to business partnersMay support the monthly reporting and tracking for departmental KPI's and Savings TargetsEnsure data accuracy within the tools and provide recommendations of ways to operate in more efficient and cost-effective mannerAbility to analyze large sets of data, providing detailed information to support Strategic Sourcing Group (SSG) buying/ sourcing decisionsSHAREHOLDER
