The Procurement Analyst will perform purchasing functions, including initiating competitive requests for quotations, issuing purchase orders, and managing delivery of orders in accordance with project/program builds. The applicant must be able to work with suppliers and internal customers, such as support engineers, quality, and project planners.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish, evaluate, and select suppliers to develop a qualified supplier base and sustain supplier relationships.Review requests for procurement, and issue related RFQs and subsequent POs.Independently perform complete analyses of customer requirements and supplier input to obtain the best possible procurement packages relative to cost, schedule, and quantity.Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with suppliers and act as an intermediary between internal customers and suppliers.Drive process improvements with internal customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.Reduce quality-related setbacks and compel improved performance from suppliers.Monitor and maintain all open purchase orders, communicating status to internal customers.Manage suppliers to verify compliance with purchase order requirements.Address and solve procurement issues as they arise.Support cost reduction tasks.Essential SkillsExperience in procurement, purchasing, and procurement analysis.5+ years of experience with SAP.Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of directly relevant experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience supporting cross-functional teams.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Understanding of supply chain and ERP systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsWillingness to travel domestically and internationally (20-40%) to visit suppliers.Work EnvironmentThe work environment offers casual attire and is centrally located in an affluent town near industry, shopping, and dining.
