Processing Operator
**Job Title: Processing Operator** **Job Description** The Processing Operator is responsible for the manufacturing of liquid pediatric and medical nutritional products. This role entails the lifting and physical handling of raw ingredients during the weighing, staging, and manufacturing processes. Additionally, the position involves interaction with computer systems integrated into the manufacturing process, along with documentation of manufacturing steps in accordance with work order and job procedures. A Processing Operator must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards, follow detailed work order instructions, and be capable of performing a variety of duties within processing functions. **Responsibilities** + Prepare, operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled blending processes. + Weigh, document, and stage batch ingredients using a computer-controlled weigh system. + Prepare, operate, monitor, and document a computer-controlled clean-in-place (CIP) system utilized for manufacturing equipment, such as tanks and heat treatment systems. + Perform and document product line work operations, including standardization and final water using ingredients, flavors, and oils. + Maintain area GMP compliance through routine cleaning of equipment and general area, preventive maintenance of equipment, adherence to batch work order and job procedures, and recording/maintaining accurate documentation. + Receive and transport bulk raw ingredients, CIP chemicals, etc. + Support other work-related duties as assigned. + Prepare, operate, monitor, and document bulk slurries for blending operations. + Prepare, operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled heat treatment processes. **Essential Skills** + High school diploma or GED equivalent. + Prior experience in food manufacturing or similar batch process with emphasis on GMP and computer-controlled systems. + Good written, verbal, computer, and mechanical skills. + Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment, make decisive decisions, and use problem-solving skills while maintaining quality product and area GMP. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Some college or vocational schooling desired. + Forklift experience required. + Good interpersonal skills and ability to work safely in a team environment. **Why Work Here?** You will be part of a dynamic environment that values teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. The position may involve operating forklifts and requires lifting and physical handling of materials. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sturgis, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
