**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As a CBRE Building Engineer, you’ll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations, with a specialized focus on fluid and gas system components, pressure systems, and critical pharmaceutical utilities, including reverse osmosis systems, clean steam, and Water for Injection (WFI) equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring these systemsmeet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards within pharmaceutical facilities.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Servicesjobfunction. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
Perform maintenance and inspections on fluid and gas system components, pressure systems,reverse osmosis, clean steam, WFI, equipment, and pipingto ensure continued reliability in pharmaceutical operations.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues affecting the performance of RO, clean steam, and WFI systems.
Ensure GMP compliance by following established protocols and documentation requirements for pharmaceutical production environments.
Perform repairs where possible on pressure systems and piping components identified as required through inspections.
Assist with commissioning protocols of newly installed facilities assets. This may involve Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), working at heights, and a general knowledge or design drawings and facilities/building operations
Perform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems. Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards.
Follow applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Maintain an energy management program. Ensure systems operate efficiently. Identify any observations made during inspections that may lead to more efficient operations.
Assist with implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and environmental conditions set by client.
Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3- 5 years of job-related experience,ideally within pharmaceutical or GMP environments. . In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with reverse osmosis, clean steam, and WFI systems in regulated industries.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Be comfortable with heights as work will require inspections performed from lifting devices
Experience as al weld inspector or certifier would be advantageous
Experience in pipefitting and piping repairs is an asset
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
