Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Process Technician with expertise in injection moldingThis role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure the efficient operation of molding machines, improve processes, and maintain quality standards

Job Responsibilities

Work with injection molding machines and secondary equipment to address tooling issues, aiming to reduce downtime and enhance efficiencyMonitor process and product quality during tooling runsCollaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to decrease downtime and scrap, while improving process efficiencyParticipate in efforts to improve tool changeover times, including the use of end-of-arm tooling and color changeover processesIdentify molding problems related to tooling and report them to the SupervisorEngage in maintaining tooling and equipment through the TPM ProgramRecord downtime, scrap, and changeover timesAddress minor processing issues and demonstrate flexibility to meet customer demands and requirementsAssist with additional tasks as assigned by the companyOperate safely during mold changes, color changes, and any operations involving cranes and robots

Essential Skills

Technical diploma, preferably in injection moldingAt least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentMinimum of 1 year as a Process Technician in an injection molding operation with medium tonnage molding machinesTraining and experience in operating overhead cranesProven ability to handle complex tasks requiring extensive knowledge of fabrication techniques, tools, and equipmentWorking knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety, and Environment protocolsStrong technical problem-solving skillsEffective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skillsProficiency in EnglishJob Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
