Process Technician
Job Title: Process Technician - Plastics Extrusion and Molding Division

Job Description

We are seeking new team members for our facility that specializes in the production of single-use medical devices. As a Process Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our plastics extrusion and molding division. You will configure machines by setting parameters, performing changeovers, documenting setups, and providing operator support to resolve issues. Your duties will include analyzing and fixing process problems, performing routine maintenance, adhering to production schedules, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Additionally, you will diagnose minor problems, offer technical support on projects, and conduct research to minimize defects. This role requires hands-on work with machinery, including the ability to climb onto machines, lift over 50 pounds, and operate an overhead crane for mold replacements. Your goal will be to maintain machine quality, cleanliness, and efficiency within a team-oriented environment under the supervision of the plastics supervisor.

Responsibilities

Configure machines by setting parameters and performing changeovers.Document setups and provide operator support to resolve issues.Analyze and fix process problems and perform routine maintenance.Adhere to production schedules and ensure safety protocols are followed.Diagnose minor problems and offer technical support on projects.Conduct research to minimize defects.Work hands-on with machinery, including climbing onto machines, lifting over 50 pounds, and operating an overhead crane for mold replacements.Maintain machine quality, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Essential Skills

Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand tools.Experience with overhead cranes.Proficient in process documentation.Knowledge of pneumatic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Prior process technician/mold setting experience is advantageous.

Work Environment

The role is situated 100% on the manufacturing floor within the plastics mold and extrusion division. You'll be part of a collaborative team that includes other technicians and engineers. This clean environment requires compliance with FDA guidelines, including gowning procedures before entering the plant. The facility features a café and office space, though your primary workspace will be on the floor with the machines. You'll be supporting one of the three extrusion and molding machines during your shift, among a total of 16 machines.

This is a full time position based out of Noblesville, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
