Job Description

The Process Technician will be responsible for deploying process technology to minimize variation and optimize the manufacturing of products. The role involves improving machine efficiency through automation uptime and optimization, performing mold start-ups using plastic fundamentals, maintaining process guidelines, and troubleshooting material mixers.

ResponsibilitiesDeploy process technology to minimize process variation and optimize product manufacturing.Improve machine efficiency through automation uptime and optimization.Perform mold start-ups using plastic fundamentals.Maintain process guidelines through cycle times, E-Darts, clamp movement, etc.Install, troubleshoot, and remove EOAT.Troubleshoot material mixers.Assist in color and material changes.Pull and understand FPI/SA paperwork and process variances.Work safely and efficiently using required personal protective and safety equipment.Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement, promoting and sustaining CI, 5S, and STW activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsInjection mold experiencePlastic injection experienceMechanically inclinedExperience in changing process parametersControlling part weights and cyclesMaintenance and robotics skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude2-5 years of plastic injection molding experienceHydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experienceElectrical troubleshooting experienceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is for the night shift, operating on a 2x2x3 schedule from 7pm to 7am. The work environment is hot and loud, with the smell of hot plastic. The facility is non-climate controlled. The dress code includes t-shirts, hoodies without strings, sweatshirts, sleeveless tops, jeans, shorts, and sweatpants, with specific guidelines to ensure safety and professionalism. Closed-toe shoes with rubber soles are required, and jewelry should be minimal and not dangle. Tattoos and hair color are acceptable unless deemed offensive.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
