Title: Process Safety Engineer Position Title: Principal Technical Professional (Principal Engineer) – Safety EngineeringWork Location: Baku Responsibilities: Leading or working within a team of process engineers you will advise, and contribute to the following: + Leading a team either within a large project or for smaller projects. + Control manhours and budget and ensure process work is completed in line with the project schedule. As part of a project team, perform all aspects of Technical Safety scope area. This may include: + Safety Critical Elements and Performance Standards. + Develop safety specifications. + Functional Safety design and input to Safety Lifecycle planning. + Design of safety systems (firewater, blast protection etc.) + Management of safety packages. + Liaison with 3rd parties undertaking safety studies, e.g. QRA. + Safety representation in HAZID and HAZOP reviews. + With additional experience within one or more areas of Technical Safety, review the work of others. + Assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments. + Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers. + With appropriate experience, supervise and lead the project Technical Safety team. Skills/ Experience: Essential + Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and any work placements. + Able to undertake any specific area of Safety Engineering scope independently. + Able to check and confirm completeness of deliverables including safety layouts and reports. + Minimum of 7 years related experience, with average experience ranging from 10+ years. Qualifications: + BEng or equivalent in science or engineering (typically Chemical Engineering) + Masters degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering or Process Safety preferred) + Chartered Engineer: membership of an accredited Institution, e.g. IChemE.
