**Job Title: Process Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Process Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of customer orders by managing warehouse operations and maintaining plant cleanliness. Your responsibilities will include filling liquid chemical orders, handling materials using a sit-down forklift, and performing general cleaning tasks. You will also be involved in washing hoses, totes, and drums, as well as disposing of drums.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow directives from the shift manager to fill customer orders, including filling totes and drums with liquid chemicals and staging them at the dock.
+ Load trucks upon arrival, ensuring accurate labeling and paperwork completion.
+ Maintain warehouse cleanliness and wash hoses, drums, and totes as needed.
+ Utilize electronic pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts to move and stage finished products.
+ Complete accurate paperwork, including process conditions, test results, instrument readings, and shipping documentation.
+ Spend significant time washing and disposing of used totes and drums, addressing backlog work.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience operating a sit-down forklift for at least six months.
+ Customer focus and attention to detail for accurate labeling and item selection.
+ Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
+ Proficiency in wearing steel-toed shoes and willingness to work with chemicals safely.
+ Capability to receive and act on direct feedback regarding performance and processes.
+ Willingness to maintain facial hair within respirator-fitting guidelines.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in chemical manufacturing, particularly in micronutrients or polymers.
+ Experience in mixing or blending chemicals.

**Work Environment**
Operators work across various shifts including 1st (4am-12pm), mid (8am-4pm), and 2nd (12pm-8pm) shifts. While the company does not mandate overtime, employees often volunteer to ensure smooth transition between shifts. Personal protective equipment, including bump caps, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and chemical suits, is required. The warehouse is temperature-controlled, but it can get warm in the summer due to suit requirements. Main chemicals handled include phosphates, sodium hypo, caustic soda, and various coagulants.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camby, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
