Process Engineering Technician/Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineering Technician to achieve project goals and objectives related to cost and timing while ensuring expectations and requirements for all elements of PPAP and TS16949 are met. The successful candidate will prepare weekly program status reports, maintain a technical log for assigned products and processes, and provide daily performance updates.

Responsibilities

Support project launch strategies and maintain project timelines.Provide on-site and off-site support for pre-production builds requiring components or services from the manufacturing site.Participate in identifying open issues and supporting task force activities.Review project status with the Engineering Manager as needed.Assist production teams with troubleshooting activities.Fill in for supervisors when required to maintain operational continuity.Support setup processes following tool changes.Conduct process monitoring checks such as flash thickness and black box.Assist with training technical and production staff on processing standards.Support engineering with the implementation of new processes or process revisions.Review mold and secondary fixture designs, provide recommendations, and assist with TSA submission approvals as required.Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to develop processes and optimize equipment and tooling performance.Assist engineering in minimizing startup costs for new or changing programs.Assist in identifying and executing process improvements.Support scrap and defect reduction initiatives.Drive long-lead process improvements and cost-reduction efforts for assigned programs.Evaluate and implement ongoing process and product enhancements.Develop workflow improvements, effective layouts, and optimized processes.Maintain records for primary tools (molds) and designated secondary equipment.

Must Have

3+ years experience working in a process related roleExperience in project and launch supportAbility to provide on-site and off-site production supportExperience in conducting process monitoring checksProficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams

This position requires working onsite. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on achieving operational excellence.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of North Baltimore, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $87500.00/yr.
