Process Engineering Technician
Responsibilities + Read and comprehend specifications, blueprints, and operating manuals, following all instructions and written procedures. + Install injection molds in a clean room environment and verify set-up documentation before starting machines and automation. + Collaborate with the Quality department for start-up approval. + Monitor the ongoing operation of molding machines and robots, troubleshooting process problems during the molding of high precision medical and industrial products. + Respond to visual and audible alarms while overseeing the setup and operation of molding machines and robots. + Perform diagnostics and assist in the repair and maintenance of molding machines and robots during process development. + Install and remove molds from molding machines. + Document process changes on each molding machine and robot. + Communicate verbally and in writing with molding technicians, quality auditors, inspector packers, maintenance technicians, and management to ensure ongoing product quality and machine maintenance. + Support all safety and quality programs and initiatives. Essential Skills + Injection molding + Troubleshooting + Process improvement + Experience in an injection molding environment with a minimum of 3 years in process development + Experience performing mold setups or similar work using tools and machinery related to plastic injection molding + Proficiency using shop monitoring systems for proper assignment of various codes and mold cavitation + Ability to communicate root cause issues and actions being implemented Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukegan, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
