Job Title: Process EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to define, characterize, and lead the implementation of new processes. The role involves driving improvements for critical performance metrics such as process yields, scrap loss, equipment utilization, and operating costs. Additionally, you will write and update engineering control documents, implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), perform root cause and corrective action investigations, and comply with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations.

ResponsibilitiesDefine, characterize, and lead the implementation of new processes.Drive improvements for critical performance metrics such as process yields, scrap loss, equipment utilization, and operating costs.Write and update engineering control documents like Work Instructions, Control Plans, and process flow charts.Implement, monitor, and react to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) trends.Perform root cause and corrective action investigations to identify process failures and prevent reoccurrences.Communicate processing concepts and projects to customers, operating personnel, other departments, technical staff, and upper-level management.Comply with all department, facility, corporate, and regulatory Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations.Collaborate with operators and other employees using problem-solving methodologies like A3 and 5S.Review, disposition, and provide instructions for non-conforming materials.Lead or support the approval of new suppliers, vendors, and Supplier Change Requests (SCR).Essential SkillsSix SigmaProcess engineeringProblem solving experienceGood communication skillsControl Plan and Process Flow Chart proficiencyWillingness to learnProject management experienceCollaboration skillsExperience in process improvement and continuous improvementKnowledge of statistical process control and PFMEAAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalentMinimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in a fast-paced small parts manufacturing environmentAdvanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookAbility to collect and analyze data for recommendationsExperience in the medical industry is a plusSix Sigma certification is a plusBilingual English/Spanish is a plusWork Environment

This position involves working cross-functionally across the organization and reporting to the Manufacturing Process Engineer Manager. Daily communication with various groups, including engineers and operators on the manufacturing floor, is expected. More than 50% of the time will be spent on the shop floor in a very loud manufacturing environment, so candidates must be comfortable with such conditions. The role is onsite, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The company is growing and offers opportunities for career development at a brand new facility in Allendale, NJ.

This is a Permanent position based out of Allendale, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
