Process Engineer
Job Title: Process EngineerJob Description The Process Engineer is responsible for improving, designing, and implementing manufacturing processes. This role involves setting up new production systems, optimizing current processes, creating documentation, training operators, and managing process improvement projects. The position requires hands-on work with equipment and collaboration across various departments including engineering, production, quality, facilities, EHS, and vendors. Responsibilities + Improve safety, quality, and efficiency of manufacturing processes. + Design, install, and validate new production tools and processes. + Create and update work instructions and process documentation. + Train production staff on new or updated processes. + Perform root-cause analysis using tools like 8D and 5 Why. + Collect, measure, and interpret production data. + Manage projects with limited supervision and potentially oversee technicians or other engineers. + Ensure compliance with safety procedures such as lockout/tagout. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of production engineering experience, or 7+ years of equivalent experience. + Mechanical and analytical hands-on experience in production or lab settings. + Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Lean, and Six Sigma. + Strong communication skills and intermediate proficiency in MS Office. + Eligibility to work in an ITAR-regulated environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with ceramic or industrial part processing is preferred. + Experience with manufacturing engineering involving wire bond equipment or automated equipment. + Experience troubleshooting issues on the production line and working with automated equipment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $80000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
