Process Engineer
Job Title: Process EngineerJob Description The Process Engineer will support production processes and maintain documentation to ensure that parts meet the quality expectations of customers. Responsibilities + Assist with scheduling and preparing products for assembly. + Lead process improvement projects and troubleshoot product issues. + Document engineering processes, including BOMs, ECRs, and ECNs. + Enhance products through design improvements and fixturing using 2D AutoCAD or similar software. + Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) + Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD or similar design software + Experience in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement + Strong knowledge of engineering documentation such as BOMs, ECRs, and ECNs + Excellent communication skills Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in product design improvements + Process management skills + Understanding of scientific methods and changing variables Work Environment Join a small company of about 40 employees, where you will be part of a collaborative team of 12 production staff, 8 QA members, and 2 engineers. The environment is laid-back, focused on getting the job done without micromanagement. Expect to spend 30-40% of your time on material disposition, another 30-40% on AutoCAD drawings, and the remaining time on problem-solving projects for process improvement. Work hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with plenty of on-the-job training and opportunities to learn about government projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seaford, DE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
